Announcing the 2021 Gray  Whale Research Plan for Laguna San Ignacio and

Bahía Magdalena, Baja California Sur, Mexico.

All of us at the Laguna San Ignacio Ecosystem Science Program wishes everyone a most happy, safe, and productive New Year in 2021!  This New Year, join with us to celebrate our humanity and support our families, friends, communities and our non-human friends (like gray whales) with which we share this earth!

We want to wish all of our supporting organizations, individuals, and colleagues a safe, peaceful and productive New Year in 2021.

Your ongoing generous support has made it possible for to us proceed with a gray whale field research season in 2021 winter, but with smaller teams of researchers from within Mexico, and with specific procedures to ensure the safety and health of our researchers and students while they are in the field, and to protect the local lagoon community. We expect the 2021 research season to begin in mid-January 2021.
